Plettenberg Bay – Lagoon House

The same family has owned the house since it was built in the 1970’s. The brief was therefore to update and reconfigure, in a way that is sensitive to the years of memories, while maximising the fantastic views across the lagoon and improving the bedrooms. An internal staircase was added, replacing external timber steps and improving the ease of movement around the building. A lower ground floor storeroom was extended and incorporated into the building to provide an additional bedroom. The steep slope of the site allowed for secure parking at street level, with a generous storeroom below. Improved access steps help negotiate the steep site.
